Todd Bergman is the Executive Director of the Alaska Process Industry Careers Consortium (APICC). APICC is an industry-based consortium of Alaska companies, educational, and government institutions working to ensure the availability of highly-trained Alaskans sufficient to staff Alaska’s process and support industries.
Prior to taking his position with APICC in 2008, Todd most recently worked as an administrator for the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development at
Alaska’s state-wide boarding school Mt. Edgecumbe High School in Sitka.
He is a certificated career and technical instructor, having first taught at Washington State University.
His twenty-eight years in education included experience at university, high school and middle school levels, as an instructor in business management, entrepreneurship and advanced technology, school-business partnerships, and as an educational administrator.
One of the school business partnerships Todd developed built a national model with IBM called “Partners in Education.”
Mr. Bergman’s experience includes working with Native Alaskan students for over twenty five years.
He has been a member of the Alaska Workforce Investment Board, engaged in several Alaska educational initiatives, and has traveled extensively as a consultant and public speaker on improving educational systems.
He holds masters degrees in educational administration, cross-cultural education and business.
